The process

AOKI produces collaborative art events with Chicago-based artists, aiming to bridge divides and foster community. As a nonprofit, AOKI needed a cohesive brand identity and platform to bring its vision to life. We developed a brand framework that emphasized the power of artists to unite Chicago—one of the most segregated cities in America—through creativity and shared experiences.

To refine this vision, we facilitated a focus group with 15 Chicago artists, shaping a mission that resonated and motivated local artists to get involved. We then created a compelling deck, invited friends and potential investors, and crafted custom tote bags for each guest as a token of appreciation.

We had 2 significant donations and every guest became a Patron, participated and/or attended our first event. We had the funds to take our crucial next steps! We were pumped!
